HotelSolutionsMod vs native PMS modules: an honest comparison

We sell add-ons to platforms we do not operate, so the fair question is always: why not just use what your PMS vendor ships? Here is the straight answer.

What native your PMS does well

The PMS core — property management, reservations, housekeeping, reporting — is the system of record, and every module we sell assumes it stays that way. PMS vendor’s native distribution and channel capabilities suit many properties perfectly, especially those with straightforward channel mixes and in-house revenue management. If native coverage does what you need, buy native: it is one vendor, one contract, one support desk.

How to decide

Three practical tests. Overlap: if a native feature does the job, do not buy an add-on for it — our licences are designed to complement, not duplicate. Depth: where the gap is a workflow detail — approval trails, evidence packs, template control — an add-on is usually the cheaper fix than a process workaround. Commitment: our licences are monthly and cancel at month end, so a wrong guess costs one month, not a contract renegotiation.

The rules we hold ourselves to

We connect only through the official API with scoped keys minted inside your own environment. We never ask for hotel PMS systems credentials. And when PMS vendor ships native functionality that covers an add-on properly, we say so — several evaluation calls end with “you do not need us for that”, and we think that is good business.
